From 1st June 2024, all construction worksites with a contract value of $5 million or more are required to install a video surveillance system (VSS) at their worksite. By enabling remote monitoring and video capture, the VSS acts as a deterrent for unsafe workplace behaviours, and offers insights for investigations of safety incidents and near-misses.
