Continuing Professional Development Programme for Trainers
As a trainer, you must complete at least 10 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities every year, and attend a one-time ethics workshop
Programme Overview
The CPD Programme is mandatory for trainers who conduct WSH courses recognised by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), including the following:
- WSH Courses conducted by Learning Service Providers (LSP) certified to ISO 29993:2017;
- WSH Courses conducted by Training Providers accredited by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG);
- Top Executive WSH Programme (TEWP);
- WSH Coordinator Refresher Training.
You must also attend a one-day ethics workshop, which focuses on applying ethical principles and values in training scenarios.
Programme Requirements
To complete the CPD Programme, you need to meet the following requirements:Requirement | Notes |

You must meet this requirement to maintain your eligibility as a WSH trainer. Audit checks will be conducted for this requirement. |
Complete a one-day ethics workshop. |
Organised by the Singapore Institution of Safety Officers (SISO), the workshop guides trainers on ethical principles and values, and their application in training scenarios. |
Audit Checks
You must keep proof of attendance to facilitate audit checks from:
- Ministry of Manpower (MOM);
- Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council; or
- Certification bodies accredited by the Singapore Accreditation Council.

You have 10 hours of CPD activities between 1 Dec 2023 to 30 Nov 2024 |
If your audit is conducted on 30 Nov 2024 and you have 8 months of trainer experience. |
You have 7 hours of CPD activities (8/12 months x 10 hours = ~7 hours). |
If your audit is conducted on 31 Dec 2024 and you returned to conduct training in Singapore on 1 Aug 2024. |
You have 4 hours of CPD activities (5/12 months x 10 hours = ~4 hours). This is based on the period of 5 months from Aug 2024 to Dec 2024. |
Note: Non-compliance of the CPD requirement may result in a suspension for trainers or training providers.
