Workplace Safety and Health (Approved Codes of Practice) Notification 2024

The Workplace Safety and Health (Approved Codes of Practice) Notification 2024 was published on the Government Electronic Gazette on 27 December 2024. This new Notification will be effective from 1 January 2025 and the Workplace Safety and Health (Approved Codes of Practice) Notification 2023 will be revoked accordingly.
The number of Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs) will stand at 102.
The new additions are:
- Code of Practice for Platform Services
- SS ISO 12100: 2024 Safety of Machinery – General Principles for Design – Risk assessment and risk reduction
The following ACOPs are updated to the latest revision:
- SS 485: 2022 Specification for slip resistance classification of pedestrian surface materials
- SS 513: 2024 Specification for personal protective equipment – Footwear Part 1: Safety footwear
- SS 513: 2024 Specification for personal protective equipment – Footwear Part 2: Test methods for footwear
- SS 532: 2024 Code of practice for the storage of flammable liquids
- SS 536: 2023 Code of practice for the safe use of mobile cranes
