Rescindment of award from WSH Awards recipient who falsified application information

23 Nov 2024 Announcements

Investigations revealed that a recipient of this year’s Safety and Health Award Recognition for Projects (SHARP) had not disclosed the occurrence of two minor injuries for their project.  If they had done so, they would not have been awarded the SHARP award.  The WSH Council has thus rescinded their SHARP,  and imposed a three-year ban on the company from participating in the WSH Awards.

In addition, we have referred the investigation findings to the Ministry of Manpower for them to assess if the company had breached injury reporting laws.

We remain committed to upholding the integrity of the WSH Awards, and action will be taken against applicants found to have submitted inaccurate, false or misleading information.
