Public Consultation for WSH Guidelines on Personal Flotation Devices – Life Jackets

19 Aug 2024 Announcements

The life jacket is an essential personal protective equipment for workers who face the risk of falling into water and drowning. Using the appropriate life jacket increases the likelihood of survival should a person fall into water.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Manpower, Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and key industry partners, the WSH Council is developing the WSH Guidelines on Personal Flotation Devices – Life Jackets. This set of Guidelines provides guidance on the selection of life jackets for different work environments in line with international standards and recommends good practices on the use and maintenance of life jackets.

We invite industry stakeholders and members of the public to share your feedback on the draft WSH Guidelines on Personal Flotation Devices – Life Jackets before it is finalised and published. Please email the completed public consultation form to contact@wshc.sg by 15 September 2024.
