STAS -WSH Council webinar highlights safe works at height in the building specialist trade

On 12 July 2021, the Specialist Trade Alliance of Singapore (STAS) organised the first STAS-WSH Council Webinar to raise workplace safety and health (WSH) awareness amongst specialist trade contractors in Singapore. Themed “Safer Work At Height Post-COVID-19”, the webinar highlighted the importance of WSH when performing works at height, and shared the technologies and practices to ensure a safe return to work amidst COVID-19.

The Ministry of Manpower shared insights and case studies on working safely at height with ladders, while the WSH Institute shared some of the technologies that the construction industry can adopt. The webinar rounded up with a presentation from the industry on the technologies that they had adopted such as the e-Permit-To-Work System and Advanced Digital Solutions that helped to achieve better WSH outcomes and improved productivity for the organisation.
