The Employer Advisory Service is an extension of our engagement with employers to create fair, responsible and progressive workplaces in Singapore and to raise employment standards. Our service provides scenario-based advice on the following: 

The Employment Act (EA), relevant parts of the Child Development Co-Savings Act (CDCA), and the Retirement and Re-employment Act (RRA).
Relevant guidelines, advisories and tripartite standards namely Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices (TGFEP), Tripartite Guidelines on Flexible Work Arrangement Requests (TGFWAR) Tripartite Advisory on Managing Excess Manpower and Responsible Retrenchment (TAMEM), Flexible Wage System (FWS) and other progressive practices and norms.

Virtual Appointment
on complex or multiple scenarios 

Operating hours: 8.30 am to 12.30 pm
Slot: 1 hour ($60), 1.5 hour ($120), 2 hours ($180).

Phone Appointment
on short scenarios
(Note: For flexible wage system, please book a virtual appointment only)

Operating hours: 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm
Slot: 15 mins ($12) and 30 mins ($24).

Note: From 11 April 2021, all Corppass account holders will be required to log in to government digital services for businesses via Singpass.

You will need a Corppass account to transact with TAFEP. If you do not have one, sign up here.
  1. This is a payable service for employers. Please log in and make an online payment and booking for a relevant advisory service.
  2. The required notice for appointments is 2 working days. Hence, for bookings made:
    • Up to 5.30 pm, the earliest appointment will be in 2 working days.
    • After 5.30 pm, the earliest appointment will be in 3 working days.
  3. We will contact you at the appointment time using your information. We may also reschedule an appointment when required and will contact you to arrange a mutually agreeable date and time.
  4. No refund  will be made for appointments (including those which are cancelled, no-show or non-contactable).  
  5. If you are an employer, you may contact your union if your company is unionised or the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) if your company is a corporate member with SNEF.
  6. If you are an employee, please contact MOM or TADM for assistance.

Note:
If you meet an issue in booking and/or payment, please: 

  1. Clear your system browser cache as well as use a new window to login, confirm non-bank payment if applicable, and try again. 
  2. Check for confirmation email and tax invoice/receipt which are issued upon successful payment and booking.
  3. Book and pay only once. For enquiries or assistance, please contact us with details at TAFEP Contact Us.

The service provides verbal discussion-based practical guidance, based on scenario-based applications of prevailing laws, guidelines, advisories, tripartite standards  and  progressive practices to the best knowledge of our consultants. This service is not intended to be legal advice and should not be regarded as a substitute for independent legal advice.

As no refunds will be made, please:

  1. Book a relevant scenario-based  advisory service.
  2. Do not book for  : 
  • Legal advice for legal or case disputes or drafting and implementation of contractual terms or policies. For these, please seek independent legal advice.  
  • Appointment to board of inquiry or support and resolution service for workplace investigations (for employee conduct or grievance). For these, please seek independent professional advice.   
  • COMPASS, work passes or workmen injury matters. For these, please contact the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
  • Employment claim such as salary in-lieu of notice.  For this,  please file a claim with the Tripartite Alliance for Dispute Management (TADM).

What do I need in order to access the Employer Advisory Service appointment system?

To access the Employer Advisory Service appointment system on EmPOWER, you need the following:

  • Corppass. Apply for Corppass if you don’t have one.
  • Your Corppass admin or sub-admin must assign your Corppass account:
  1. Log in to Corppass.
  2. Go to eServices Access tab.
  3. Choose EmPOWER as one of your company’s eServices.
  4. Assign EmPOWER to your Corppass account.

What web browsers can I use?
